Super B Complex by Igennus and Green Urine!! Has anyone experienced same?
Hi Thyb
Yes I have had this. I also only took one a day- simply because I missed the instructions- but very bright yellow for me. I stopped it so see if it was the B complex causing it- it was. So? I also found my mouth was a bit dry. I don’t know if this is the same for you?
I have given myself a week or so off it but am debating to start again as I believe on here it helps with the conversion.
I’ll be interested to see what others say as I don’t have any answers 🤷🏼♀️
Mine has been green. I'll wait a couple of days and see but I know it's them that caused it. They are very high potency...i know I need B12 and vit C but the rest of the B vitsvin them are all mega high potency...sometimes too much is not good. Think in a couple of days I'll try half a tablet. Thank you for reply
Ok just done a google- it’s a sign of excess B 2 probably- states not harmful and B2 can discolour urine.
Does make me wonder that whilst not harmful, it could suggest we could be over working kidneys getting rid of the excess?
Let’s see what others say. 🤔
I think defo could damage Kidneys potentially at that strength so I'll leave them for s couple of days and then try half a tablet. Thank you for reply
Thyb
It's the Riboflavin, B2, that turns pee neon yellow. Nothing to worry about.
Although I need the Vit B12 part and Vit C I think this brand has got possibly too much potency/high strength. E.g. Vit B2 1000% RI*..Vit B1 1818 RI*%, BIOTIN 600 RI*% VIT B12 36,000 %RI*. Thank you for reply
All vitamin B complex change colour of urine
Igennus is less fluorescent than most others I have tried
I got fluorescent pee when I first started taking a B complex years ago. I don't any more, even though I'm still taking one. I really, really don't think it's anything to worry about. But, you do need to take a B complex if you're taking B12, because the Bs all work together, and need to be kept balanced.
You'll soon have all the membership on this forum "green with envy"! LOL
Coenzyme Q10 makes it fluorescent yellow. Also I knew someone who loved beetroot. She panicked thinking there was blood in her urine but it was just the beetroot!
Never hard of green pee before, though peas are usually green
I panicked with my very young grandson after seeing his unusually coloured urine then realised he’d had beetroot.
As for Asparagus smell! Lol
I've never seen a colour change with coQ10
Fluorescent yellow is more usual. but green is quite common when a supplement contains riboflavin.
Yep, same happens to me. Even weirder looking because I pee by inserting a catheter through a channel made through my belly button (it's called a mitrofanoff if anyone wants to Google!). Makes my catheter look like it would glow in the dark!
Phew! Looks like we are not alone and all is well with our pee 🤣😂
