Hello I have resorted to purchasing some more T3 from abroad and my bank Santander charged me £25 for the pleasure ! so T3 cost me over £50 !!! Is there any other way to avoid these extra costs ??
T3 postage costs : Hello I have resorted to... - Thyroid UK
T3 postage costs
What were the costs for? International bank transfer from a current account? Or the currency exchange fee?
I use a credit card where I can, rather than a direct link to the current account. The exchange fee is modest. International bank transfer is the most expensive method I've ever used, so I avoid if possible.
Yes online bank transfer from bank to bank ..I just didn't think when I did it !! Thanks for the heads up on credit card use will try that next time . Cheers

Credit card companies and PayPal stopped accepting payment for medication quite some time ago. Some suppliers seem to have found a way around this but not all of them.
Banks' charges for international transfer vary considerably. I did one a couple of years ago and it was about £9 (Halifax) and I remember one member using a different bank was charged lower than that, possibly around £4 at the time.
Thank you
I remember that Santander charged me the same ridiculous amount for bank transfer a few years ago. I avoid that method now. Are you able to use a payment transfer company in future? Western Union, Moneygram through the Post Office or Ria? Their charges are much less
Thanks ..I did initially try western Union but the company wont accept that !!!
Have a look at XE Money Transfer - you'll have to set it up with your details and they'll make sure you're not dodgy (!) but once that's done, you're good to go. A fraction of what your bank will charge. There are others who are equally trustworthy and reliable. I use the above and am perfectly satisfied with it.
