Starting novothyral

Hello I'm so desperate and some one could guide me how much novothyral I need if I was taking 100 levethyroxine, because I'm not a good converter , with 100 my tsh goes suppressed and t3 low t4 high, and when take 75 my t3 low and t4 low normal and tsh high , so I'm starting novothyral which is combination of t3/t4

How much of each in one tablet?

In novothyrol there is 75 levothyroxine and 15 lithyronine

OK, so it might be a good idea to start on half a tablet. See how it goes. Get retested after six weeks, and see if you need an increase in dose.

If 1/2 tablet feels like too much, you can reduce it to 1/4.

I started novothryol by using the whole tablet. I was taking 125mg of Levo at the time. I was fine. Cutting it in half might give you too little.

How are on it and is your result ok now sorry personal question how much do you weigh because to start a dose they give by weight please reply thanks

Hi I weigh 8’ 5lb.

I used it for a year or so but eventually sourced my T3 from abroad and used NHS provided t4 as novothyral was on private prescription and I found that expensive.

I felt much better when started taking novothral because adding the T3 inf or first time when I took it but as everyone says here it took probably 6 weeks before I saw significant change. Less tired. Don’t have afternoon dip in energy anymore generally.

Also got female hormones sorted as I was menopausal. They made big difference too and going strictly gluten free plus getting vitamin levels up. I’m still on the journey though to wellness. This forum has been an important part of that.

Btw it’s useful for people to give advice if you include your blood results.

Are you on 75 novothyral is in it too much that's equivalent to 130 levothyroxine, if you weigh 53kg do you have any latest results ,cause I cant get my dose right I'm so fed up

My latest result 13th Feb are

Ft4 13.2 range 12_22

Ft3 3.59 range 3.1-6.8

Tsh 7.11 range 0.27-4.2

I weigh 63kg and they say for dosing u take your weight and × by 1.6

Your T4 and .T3 is v low in range.

TSH is high.

Everyone’s dose will be dependant on far more than their weight. People metabolise in different ways depending on vitamin levels, how well their digestion works (stomach acid for example)T4 to T3 conversion and whether they have MTHFR gene etc etc.

Did you have your vitamin levels checked?

All my results are fine apart from my tft test , did you take all of your novothyral 75 and were you ok what are you taking at present and how much please good you guide me thanks

Your results are v low in the range. I would repost your questions with the blood results to get some more opinions from the experts here
