Is my T3 to high? Symptoms changed. Advice needed.

Hi,

I now have been on an increased dose of Thyroxine for 2 months.

My hypo symptoms have gone. However I seem to have a set of new symptoms.

1. First time in my life - period spotted for two separate days. Not my regular 5 days full menstrual cycle

2. Constant headaches off various degrees. Today obscene!

3. Night sweats

4. Increased bowel movement. However not normal. With stomach cramps ( since last week , daily)

Also do I need to increase my folate serum & ferritin? If so what product is best to use?

I am also weaning off Clonazepan . However this is a 8 month process and I am in month 4. On slow dose of 0.25 morning and night.

Do you think I should reduce my thyroxine to 112mcg?

If I continued on the same dose would my TSH decrease more? Would my T4/ T3 increase? As it has the last two months.

Any advice would help please!!

Also any advice on treating headaches/ migraines. GP wants to put me on amitriptylin. Which I DO NOT want to do.

Some people need very fine tuning ...

Perhaps just reduce Levothyroxine to 100mcg one day a week or even to 112mcg one day a week

Retest in 6-8 weeks time

I was thinking of alternating 112 and then 100 . I think you right. I just know if I go to GP they will just reduce straight down for good. So frustrating! X
