2.5 grains of NDT contains 95 mcg T4 and 22.5 mcg T3. I think, if it were me, for simplicity's sake, I'd go for 100 mcg levo and 25 mcg T3. :)

Did you split your NDT? If so, carry on like that with the T3. There's no one right way. You have to experiment to find the method that suits you best. :)

Sorry to jump in but by any chance would you be able to tell me what 2 1/2 grains of nature throid is in a T3 dose for my blister of a pain sister 🙄 thanks

That is very, very difficult because it depends on how well she absorbs and converts. I should think it would be different for everyone. We usually say that T3 is four times stronger than T4, but that's just a ball-park number because if you can't convert it, T4 has practically not strength at all. Perhaps about 40/45 mcg. But, she really ought to start out lower than that and adjust as necessary. Is that what she plans on doing, then? Going from NDT to T3 only?

Hi yes. She wants to try T3 only as feels like T4 in NDT doesn't help her. Thank you very much

P.s the other reason is nearly all the ndt's she'd tried are not what they used to be , not worth struggling on them.

Yes shes right.all the ndts here are not working anymore

It's true, used to be good. But slowly one after the other has been fiddled with so they look different or stink of cat piss, true. I don't think we've ever been really been allowed to have the freedom of choice with regards to Thyroid meds. Bunch of cartels..

NDT didn't suit me, anyway. I'm much better on T3 only. But, she needs to take it slowly and monitor her symptoms in case she's on too much. :)

Ok thanks , slow n steady. Hope it works for her too. I'm on T3 only.

Why haven't you tried Thyroid S? They worked for me when I took it.
