I’ve had a lot of hair loss due to an under active thyroid. Has anyone found anything that’s helped? Thanks

Hair loss
Hairloss is horrible, I feel your pain. You must remember hairloss tends to happen at least 3 months after the trigger, so part of it is patience. I had dreadful hairloss, and a friend suggested 'Hairbust vitamins' from Holland and Barret, expensive at £20 a bottle but I was desperate. I also found my hair texture had become horrible and broke all the time. So again I invested in some Keratase Resistance Hair shampoo and conditioner. Again this was expensive (you can get it off Amazon), but I think well worth it, it made my hair silky again. When my hair was really thin I also got some volumising mouse or blowdry spray to give it some oomph. Anyhow my hair went from dire to the best it had been in years. Could all have been coincidence and timing, but in my head it helped, and I still use the shampoo now as it does feel good for my hair. Plus you have to make sure you are correctly medicated for the thyroid. This is difficult, as I said, hairloss is a delayed reaction and tends to happen 3 months after the trigger, also once you start to shed, it tends to go through a phase, so it will continue to shed for a few months, so sometimes you can be looking at a 6month delay.
Good luck x
Thank you
This is not a tip on how to fix it, but I have found a couple of styling products that help me. I use Bumble & Bumble Thickening Go Big Spray all over my scalp and then blow dry upside down. It gives good volume that helps hide thinness. Also, I use Everpro Gray Away hair powder on my part and any other thin areas. You can get that on Amazon. It's sort of like eyeshadow. Hope that helps!
