Just when you think everything is going ok had to go to a and e with ectopic heartbeats and flutter in chest. TSH 0.07 T4 17.6 and T3. The paramedics did ECG which showed ectopic beats but on having ECG in a and e they said ok and sent me home. But thinking it was too much levothyroxine I dropped from 100 mgs to 75 mgs and now I feel worse. Should I see my doctor?

Yes, see your doctor. Might not be anything to do with thyroid hormone. Have you had an infection?

Only buscopan for stomach cramps

Buscopan can cause palpitations.

When did you drop to 75mcg? That's unlikely to be what's making you feel worse if it was in the last 48hrs I'd say.

How far away from your levo are you taking your buscopan? Which do you take first?

I dropped to 75 mgs today as I thought 100 mgs may be too much due to rapid heartbeat and flutter. Hospital took ECG and said okay. But paramedics who came out thought they noticed an irregular pattern.

Thyroxine has a long half life in the body, so even dropping your dose to 75mcg today, your body will still have close to 100mcg worth floating around in it. The dose drop is unlikely to be what's making you feel worse.

I hope you can find what is causing it! How long have you been on buscopan?

About 6 months on and off. I only take it when I experience IBS. It has helped going gluten, glucose fructose and lactose free.

Thank you for that information. It is opposite of what all medical journals say. So that is a help although my TSH is 0.07 so do not think I am undereducated.

Ive given up listening to docs...get the best advice on this site. My tsh is 0.2, but having done private bloods, Im advised I could do with a bit more t4. Since I increased it, my palpatations and pounding chest seems much reduced. I would ask your gp if an ecg is enough to rule out serious cardiac problems, think about going back up to 100mcg t4 and do some digging on this site for more info. Whats the normal range for your t4 levels? I was at the lower end of the scale, and was advised to increase it, even though my tsh is less than 0,2. Hope you find the answers xx
