Hello there cant offer any professional advice but if they thought you were in any immediate danger they woyld have called ambulance. I think things will be ok and anyone with chest pains no matter how small needs to be investigated, it is just procedure, you will be ok, over the last 6 weeks i have lost count of how many ecgs and bloods i have had done. You will be fine and wouldnt you want to think that if there was a problem then it will be sorted. Get it done and everything will be fine.xx

i went and had bloods done all came back ok except glucose which was high (type 2 diabetes) dr said someone from cariac team will be down to see me and give a check over, ages later dr came back and said someone from cardiac will be down soon and had me walk for an xray, an hour later i was wheeled from a cubical to the corridoor and left, i asked for an update to have the same dr come and tell me they would be here soon, i told him i wanted to go home so could i have a call when to go in, he said they would be with me soon, hour later maybe longer he comes back and asks if im ok and i tell him no my anxiety is through the roof and i need to go home he said cardiac would be down soon, i asked for discharge papers and he assured me i wouldnt be waiting long, 45mins later nurse comes to do my stats and i break down in the corridoor full of people and tell her to get the discharge notes because im going home, she asked if i wanted a cuppa and a think about it to which i said no get the papers because im going either way

i know i should have stayed but my anxiety was so bad, no one cared and if they were at all concerned i would have been seen sooner

Im not going to ctitisize, i know its quite stressful and you do have to wait a very very long time for different people to see you its a waiting game, did they day your ecg was ok then? Cardiac just probably wanted to listern to your heart and make sure all clear. Im sure everything is fine, make sure your diabetis gets sorted as that is very important. I know how you feel ive spent numerous days at hospital and many more days to come asvi just want to get better. If you go next time you will know what to expect but well done for sticking it out for ad long as you could. Keep me updated. Rest now.x

they did say ecg was fine one minute then the next he said there were some irregularities so did a second one, nothing was said about that but he did comment on how slow my pulse was........im hoping thats what caused the irregularities

ive been to the hospital many times and always had drs that were straight with me and didnt keep holding things off

im hoping if it was something serious they will call as i kept telling them i was happy to go back

Ok. You could book in with yiur doctor next week as then they will have your hospital notes and results. I think its best to check without scaring you, i think its always best to find out things then things can be corrected. Dont take any chances with your health, we get one shot at this. You done what you think is best so follow up with doc😊

mandy72 in reply toRmichelle

had a call back from dr yesterday, he understood why i discharged myself, he said there was nothing on the system from the hospital so couldnt have been very serious as if it was the hospital would have called me back or there would have been a note for dr to contact me urgently, he is going to keep eye open for results and will be in touch

you give that endo what for, dont be fobbed off by them

im not holding my breath as the dr im seeing is hypo and on thyroxine and has never been sick and told me way back that it wasnt thyroxine making me sick

but all these symptoms started about a week after going on the tablets so it has to be them, i think i may still have a bottle of liquid so will hunt that out and try and just hope the tablets leave my system pretty fast

Docs talk rubbish just remind her that one mans medicine is another mans poison. We dont live in a one size fits all world. Well good for her she can take the meds but you feel ill on it. She can change it. Or see someone else. X

mandy72 in reply toRmichelle

she just wont have any of it, will prob say its all in my head. There is a good dr that put me on the liquid before so if i have to ill call him

Rmichelle profile image
Rmichelle in reply tomandy72

Good luck let me know how you go later.

mandy72 profile image
mandy72 in reply toRmichelle

waste of time, she said its not levo making me ill and she will not go over endos head and change my meds

hospital bloods were good except glucose which was 6.2

no ecg or chest x ray results

she was annoyed i discharged myself

booked for ecg on tuesday at 2.30

so will have to give my nice dr a call

Rmichelle in reply tomandy72

Oh dear! Change your doctor do not see her but go for ecg you will be ok, i know it makes you panic and i know how it feels now being hyper myself and cant control a panic attack, they are horrible. Can you take someone with you who could support you.put another post out on the forum as there will be loads of people who can advice you on your meds.

mandy72 profile image
mandy72 in reply toRmichelle

theres a good dr i can see but hes that good its hard to see him so i normally call him on a monday as if i need seeing it will be by him

i will go for the ecg

i told her about my anxiety and she lowerd my propranolol from 2 twice a day to 1 a day (mental health dr wanted me on 2 twice a day for anxiety and palpitations)...i only took them when i needed too

ive found a bottle of liquid i will start that tomorrow and hopefully the eltroxin will be out of my system by the time i run out then ill start the eltroxin again and see if i fee the same as i do now then ill be demanding the liquid back

Rmichelle profile image
Rmichelle in reply tomandy72

Good idea with meds but propranolol keep taking the dose you have been advised to take before, it sounds like she lowered it in spite and thats not professional of her, she needs to come down from that high horse, docs can be so judgemental, do what you think is right but go for your ecg it will put your mind at rest.xx
