I've been taking recommended vitamins for hypothyroidism & health, one of which is Zinc but I keep reading that Zinc interferes with levo absorption. Does anyone know if there's any truth in this?

Levothyroxine & zinc??
Have you done a Google search? I have just done a quick search and there doesn't seem to be any problem but as always it's best to keep any supplement at least 2 hours away from levothyroxine and we know that some need 4 hours (iron, calcium, Vit D, magnesium).
Have you tested your vitamins/minerals and know which ones you need to supplement? It's not a good idea to just supplement willy nilly as this could cause a problem with too much of a certain vitamin or mineral. Always best to test and supplement at the correct dose where necessary.
Zinc is a mineral so same rules as magnesium, calcium..4 hours either side of thyroid meds + don't take with magnesium 4 hrs again from each other
I've never seen that mentioned anywhere about leaving 4 hours between levo and zinc. I have seen it written that with a multivitamin obtaining calcium, magnesium and zinc there should be a 4 hour gap, which is understandable. Selenium is a mineral and I've not seen a 4 hour gap recommended for that either. Have you got a reference for it so I can add it to my links please.
Will have a wee search see what I can find. As zinc magnesium and calcium are minerals they compete for cells so hence don't take together. Got this info from 2 groups. Vitamin d and osteoporosis. The 4hr gap same as for a multi containing them. Will see what can find tho.
(Zinc needs to have copper. 15 to 1 ratio. On a side note)
Found 2 articles. One about time of zinc taking is long so scroll down to the short paragraph slowly.
