Have developed an itchy rash since Weds. It started on my legs and is now in my arms and back as well. I have been taking antihistamines but doesn’t seem to help. No changes in diet or meds recently .Have a doctors appointment this afternoon but just wondered if it could be thyroid related. I currently take 20mcg T3 and 75mcg T4.
Thanks for any thoughts

I think that, if you've taken an antihistamine before the dose and it doesn't work, that you have a sensitivity to fillers/binders in the tablet so you would have to trial another by a different pharma company.
I am also not medically qualified but some of us can have a trial/error before we find one that relieves our symptoms.
I had insanely itchy arms (but no rash) which turned out to be a problem with the levothyroxine. Anti-histamines nor topical creams made any difference. I tried a different brand of thyroxine and the symptoms disappeared within a couple of weeks. So it could be your meds. Good luck
My doctor tried for 4 years to work out why it was happening to me, then he finally sent me to a dermatologist who suspected what the problem was and sent me to an endocrinologist. Those 4 years were horrible, I wanted to cut my arms off just so I could sleep. If the new dose anti-histamines don’t work then get your doc to refer you to dermatologist. It is horrid and depressing not knowing what the problem is. Hope the drugs work for you.
I was watching a Dr. Westin Childs video yesterday where he covered the different Hashimoto's symptom categories: hypo, hyper, immune. He had rashes listed under the immune symptoms. Do you have Hashimoto's? Perhaps something triggered your immune system? Just a thought....
