So I’ve got my private repeat prescription from my doctor for 100 x 180mg armour thyroid but can’t source them from anywhere?! I’ve not had no trouble in the past, have been taking them since January... I don’t know what to do as I ran out today!
What other brands are equivalent to armour and maybe cheaper as my last 100 cost me £225 plus the fee for special order of £6.95!
My usual prescribing doctor is on holiday until the 30th also 😳🤯
My lab work was perfect on my blood test in June, and was feeling amazing after fighting to get ndt for 4 years, just now don’t know what to do?! I can’t go back to feeling so very poorly
Any advice would be much appreciated
Thanks 💚

Yes all of them, thank you for your input! Now just am stumped as to what I’m going to do now... I’ve got some bovine capsules left from what I was taking before I got the prescription for ndt... should I carry on taking them while I wait to get this prescription sorted??? Any ideas, don’t want to have to start all again after feeling like a human again
OK. Well, equivalents include Nature Throid, Erfa, WP Thyroid, NP Thyroid, probably some others too. They all vary a bit but one of these may well suit you. stopthethyroidmadness.com/a...
Did any of the pharmacies say they could source anything else? You’d probably need your doctor to write a different prescription naming an alternative though...
This surprises me as I believed any pharmacy would fulfil any prescription for any drug other than illegal ones.
Suggest you find out why they cannot fulfil the prescription, perhaps they only do so if it is for 60mg pills, if so get a replacement prescription.
I am a great believer in going right back to the source. In this case it would be contacting the manufacturer in the US. I had to do this once and they sent me a long list of places where I could fulfill my prescription for my Armor Thyroid.
If you Google "Address for Forest Pharmaceuticals" you will get many leads. One I came across was:
Now, Patient Assistance Program is code for "We will help you pay for or reduce the price of your meds" and you will not get that since you are not in the US but I think, at least, they will be able to tell you where you can fulfill your prescription. I know it seems a lot of trouble to have to go out-of-country but it seems that that's the way it is these days. Americans go to Canada to get a lot or their drugs, (and I buy by tea from England!) They may have outlets in the UK, that would be great to find out and I do notice that their address changes a bit every time I look them up. You might get them at US prices which is not wonderful but its a lot better than UK prices.
Oh Geez, their domain name expired on Sept 11th and they haven't renewed it! I will Google around and see if I can get a better contact. Watch this space.
