Great, my doctor prescribed me a medication that contains T4+T3, it has 100 T4, 20 T3.

I didn’t want to start immediately with one tablet, so I took half for one day and stopped! I had extrem migraine and nausea!

Hopefully, I had bought two packs of T3 from Uni Pharma some weeks ago, on the next day I started taking 125 T4 and 12.5 T3 from uni-Pharma.

I felt much better with separate tablets.

I dunno what was wrong with the medication that my doctor prescribed me.

Probably nothing. Probably coincidence. I've taken that T4+T3 medication and I was fine on it - better than T4 only!

Yes, however my body reacted very bad with the medication that contains T4+T3.

This feeling didn’t occur with separate T4 and T3 tablets !

Yes, could be that you started too high. Or it was the fillers that didn't agree with you. Not likely to be the hormones themselves.

No I didn’t started big.

Sorry, the First day, I took only 1/4 tablet (novothyral) which contains 25 T4 and 5 T3.

And to compensate T4, I took 75 T4 from different producer (levothyroxin from Hennig)

Maybe my body reacted because I took two different sources of T4 at the same time ?

Different T4 u mean ?

I didn’t take two different T3

I took two Different T4!

They are brilliant - best of all I have tried, particularly those short life offerings from Mercury Pharma. I have not had MP for ages but their shelf life was a few months last time I used them. If you can get Unipharma, do try it.

I have them

They are really good

But you only posted a few hours ago? Had you started them already?

Yes, I am taking them since 10 days.

I feel fine, but as long as I didn’t test, I can’t say that they are efficient.

You know, I take T3 to lower my TSH as T4 alone couldn’t reduce my TSH.

What about your tests ? Could the T3 from Uni Pharma lower your TSH ?

Hennerton profile image

Oh yes but anything will lower my TSH and it is always too low, which sends my various GPs into a panic, until I explain it all to them and ask them to look at all previous tests with the same suppressed TSH, but with T4/3 both well in range.

I just had the annual phone call yesterday but it was a trainee and very amenable! Relief...

One thing I still don’t understand :

First trial : I took in the morning 1/4 tablet novothyral ( 20 T4 + 5 T3 ) + one tablet l-thyroxin (75 T4) in overall 100 T4 + 5 T3, I had extrem migraine and my pulse was 97 at around 2 o’clock in the afternoon.

Migraine and high pulse are sign of hyperthyroidism!

Second trial : I took one tablet l-thyroxin (125 T4) + 1/4 tablet T3 (6.25 Uni Pharma) in the Morning and at around 3 o’clock in the afternoon another 1/4 of T3 (6.25 T3) I didn’t have any sign of hyperthyroidism. My actual pulse is 82 and I don’t have migraine.

The interesting thing is that under first trail I had a total 100 T4 , 5 T3 taking altogether in the morning, while under second trial I had a total 125 T4, 12.5 T3, thus more hormones than the first trial, however under first trial I had sign of hyperthyroidism while the second trial consisted of more hormones but didn’t cause me hyperthyroidism..

Can I conclude that I am under medicated ?

Gosh, I cannot answer that, as these things are much more complicated than a single one day snapshot. But if you feel better on Unipharma, which I do, go with it and forget the combined pill. Sorry I cannot be more helpful.
