Hi Naseeryousuf, welcome to the forum.

We really need the ranges for those results, because they vary from lab to lab. But, your TSH is so high, it's obvious that you need an increase in dose of levothyroxine. 25 mcg is a very, very small dose. How long have you been on that dose?

That is wrong, I'm afraid. It doesn't matter what your age, when you are taking thyroid hormone replacement, your TSH should come down to 1 or under - wherever you need it to make you feel well. A TSH of 8.9 is not normal for anyone.

Do you have a range for the FT4 and the antibodies, please?

FT4 1.39 ng/dl

(Range .89 to 1.76)

All ranges are in my lab reports in

Agha Khan hospital lab. One of the best hospital in Pakistan.

OK, it's good that you've got the ranges, but you must give us the ranges when you give your results.

So, your FT4 is only just mid-range. It probably needs to be higher. You also need your FT3 tested. Can you get that?

I only have above given test only. Do u commend for T3 test?

Testing the FT3 is essential. It's the most important number.

Ok thanks.

One more question.

I am feeling short breathing when I do exertions. Is this due do thyride or lavothroxine?

It could be due to a lot of things. But, yes, it could be due to being hypo. Have you had your ferritin tested? Or your B12? If they are low they could cause breathlessness.

But I don't think it has anything to do with the levo.
