After being diagnosed Hashi my symptoms have got progressively worse and I’m at my wits end with it. Most days the joint pain and aches make it really hard to get out of bed. I just want to sleep all the time and no matter what I eat I get food sensitivities even on AIP diet. My tsh is within range so they won’t medicate me but it’s a constant battle with my doctor who doesn’t check antibodies T3 or T4. I feel like I am desperate for a professional that will look at the full picture and treat me accordingly! Has anyone had success in the UK with a clinic or doctor?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Seaside Susie, I only have my tsh results as I can’t afford to get the private test done until next month I’m taking B12 injections and the Ingennus B complex, also taking vit d spray & magnesium oil. Considering adding selenium. Sorry I know this is no help without results, it’s just such a pain having to pay for the tests.
I have had 2 private blood tests which I have showed to my Doctor who told me he doesn't accept them and I that need a NHS blood test which only tests the TSH. He did ask the lab to test T4 but because my TSH was normal they refused to do it.
Before seeing any thyroid specialist would always suggest getting FULL Thyroid and vitamin retested
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Low vitamin levels are extremely common
Wouldn't be surprised if vitamin D is dropping again
How much vitamin D are you currently supplementing?
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)
You may be better off with functional nutritionist who specialises in Hashimoto's if Thyroud bloods still to high to get prescribed Levothyroxine
Thanks SlowDragon. I’m having better you 3000 vit d spray but I must admit I’ve been very forgetful with taking it. If it’s this that’s making me feel so bad I will start to make sure I do it religiously. I’ve just been fully retested for my full panel and vits so the results should be back soon! If anyone could recommend a functional nutritionist for hashimotos in the UK it would be much appreciated!
Absolutely essential to test FT3 and FT4 and regularly retest vitamin levels too
