Hi Sally - I do not have much advise to impart, because I have never looked further than being told, I had high antibodies attacking my thyroid when I was about 51. That was 10 years ago. I did not believe the doctor's at that time because I had no symptoms and it was only picked up due to a blood test. I went to a private consultant to double check and she advised me to take 75mg of Thyroxine. I have been blessed because I have felt well ever since and cannot really add anything more to the discussion, other that to wish that you find whatever it is that makes you feel well.
