Lucky me! T3 and T4!

I wasn’t expecting all 3 when I picked these up today. Possibly the best results I’ve ever had. Muscle aches and joint pain gone, just waiting for a bit more energy and libido now.

They look lovely. Well done. I'm not massively knowledgeable, but it sounds like you have achieved a level of treatment which is good for you. How are your vitamins and minerals?

So inspirational to read of someone who has relief from at least some trying symptoms. Well done and keep going!

Congratulations, Molly. Still you are rather low but I don't know when you started on the dose you take. If it hasn't been too long perhaps your numbers will get a bit better but if not, you might need to raise your dose.

Thanks Heloise. I have been on 125 since October 2017. Previous to this, my doctor raised my dose from 100 to 175 in one go which was far too much for me hence the meltdown in September 2017. My TSH went to 0.04 and another doctor lowered me to 150 for a few weeks then 125. A real rollercoaster ride!

Which results do you think are low? T3 maybe?

I've read your summary below and your discipline puts me to shame:) Yes, it is the FT3 that is still on the low side but it seems equally low as FT4 so possibly one more increase will get you there. Your doctor seems to be more knowledgeable but the later increases should be small ones as you found out. Good going, Molly!!!

I’ll suggest it next time, Thankyou for noticing. 👋

Well, only if he/she aren't offended by suggestions. I just want to add that if you can reduce the pain killer whenever you can, they are not as innocuous as people think. I also bring up enzymes to everyone over forty. Proteolytic enzymes may also help with pain.

Mmh, I’ve never heard of them but good recommendations on google. I’ll try Doctors Best as that’s the brand I get for other supplements. Thanks for the tip. Should I replace 1 naproxen per day as a trial?

Did you get the high dose serrapeptase? I've taken that and nattokinase and Izabella Wentz recommends Wobynzyme which is probably the original one from the 1940's. It takes a while as they reduce inflammation. They don't act as a drug would but also don't have side effects as drugs would.

Hi, can I ask which treatment you are taking? So happy you're feeling an improvement!

From Aug 2015 to September 2017 I was taking levo robotically, still having symptoms not really understanding what my thyroid was about. That all ended when I had a breakdown in September 2017 and had time off work. (I’m a primary school teacher) My dose was changed to 125mcg levo, which I’ve been taking since October 2017. I also made some lifestyle and supplements changes following the advice from this site and Dr Chaterjee from BBC’s Doctor in the House programme.

1. Supplements- D3, k2, magnesium, selenium, B12, iron (from docs) omega 3 for joint pain.

2. Cut out bread and pasta. So not strictly gluten free but no processed carbs.

3. Weekly aquasize, daily dog walks once my hips were well enough. (I take Naproxen for arthritis) Exercises from Physio and Pilates

4. I don’t eat after 7pm and have slept MUCH better since.

5. No tech after 9pm also helps sleep. Including TV.

6. Coffee first thing only, then water or tea.

7. I accessed counselling sessions through work which helped me understand how my brain works and how to manage anxiety. I now use Headspace app to relax.

Im guessing all these things together have improved my digestion and metabolism and in turn the absorption of my meds.

I also read heavily around the subject of nutritional influences on thyroid and persuaded the dr to let me have D3, b12 and full iron panel which showed I was very low. I bought the supplements myself on Amazon on the advice of seasidesuzie and grey goose.

As I said, I still get tired very easily, have zilch libido and tint my feint eyebrows but I’m unrecognisable physically from August 2015. X

Wow! You have made a lot of effort in order to tackle your problems .....well done.

I will hopefully get back to my Aqua aerobics class myself soon, which I have missed.I have blood tests next week and have added in vitamin testing to the list, having asked at my surgery. When I get those results I will hopefully start to get my own problems sorted.

Thank you for sharing your self help programme with us .

Best wishes to you.x

Good plan. I also applied to the surgery to get my whole medical history for £10 so I could look back at all my results. It was maddening to see my deterioration in black and white but I’m determined never to go back! Good luck!

The best thing is, it doesn’t feel like effort any more, it’s part of my lifestyle. Sometimes I have a bacon sarnie, sometimes I skip aquasize but on the whole it’s quite easy.

It all sounds good to me........I look forward to my own recovery.😊

Hi blue abyss, my TSH plummeted to 0.04, vit d 50 and b12 low but can remember exactly. I did post them at the time and the updates so if you look back, you’ll see my history. 😀

TSH 0.4? Is that correct i thought that was a good result?

Mine is 3.0 and lowest was 2.9 years back and went over 6 which is bad
