I am trying out over the years and I found that when I take my thyroid tablets life stands still. Don't want to get out of bed. Cannot walk far. Confused. Weight gained. Bloating etc. When I don't take it for a week or two as I doing now. By 7 I'm up and walking fast around the the block. Just that lost me weight so from size 18 jeans I'm now 16 now even that is getting loss my top half body from 14 to size 12. I just joined a dance class on Saturday. For the first time I sweated. My clothes were rather wet and I enjoyed it. So from now onwards every Saturday 9-10 am dancing my life away. My husband and family are shocked they never saw this side of me for donkey years. But sadly I have to go back to my thyroid tables. I am wondering if the tablets is not right for me. Or its working against my body. Any other of you the same problem. My food intake is the same. Hardly any sugar. vegetables, salad and fruits. At the moment it pumpkin soup and tomatoes soup for the raining days. and lots of pumpkins around. Any advice will help me on my journey. Have a smashing day everyone.

Perhaps it's something in the tablets that disagrees with you. What does your GP/endocrinologist have to say?

Doctor you have to take your tablets. Sadly I just walked out

Do you have copies of your lab test results? Perhaps you're over-medicated. But, without the numbers - results and ranges - we can't know.

It's now 21 years when I had my right hand thyroid removed. A year after my son was born. After the op I went into menopause. It was hell on earth. About 10 years or earlier my second thyroid was removed. I been on 150 all the time. 3 years ago I was put on 200 hair grew on my face and hands and legs really bad. As Im not a hairy person. When I complained to a stand in doctor..

She told me to get a lazer treatment and pay for it myself. I shouted at her. I then changed surgery my medication was dropped to 100 now it 125. Don't know what's going on. Wish I had a magical wand to cure myself all the people worldwide

When the thyroid is removed the doctors leave tissues behind now that is a problem it growing a lump in my throat cannot touch my throat as I want to throw up. Doctor sarthe lump sent me for a scan. It was horrible at the hospital pressing my neck. Scan results no lump. But it grows a bit every day. My doctor wrote to the hospital. I had an appointment in November after waiting for 6 months. Got a letter on Saturday canceled that doctor didn't want to see me so now I don't know where I stand. If I was rich I would have went private.

You probably wouldn't be any better off private. They don't have better education that NHS doctors, I'm afraid.
