Medi checks blood test.....

Hi guys so my test came yesterday and I did it this morning, I completely forgot about vit b and have been taking that since Saturday again, how much am I going to have screwed up my results? I’m such an idiot. The test was such a nightmare to do I am in no hurry to retest. I was struggling to get blood out, literally took me over half hour to fill the small tube, and fainted part way through. I’m testing for t3, t4, tpo and Really worried it’s been a total waste of time and money. I’m gutted 😩

By 'vit B' do you mean a B complex with biotin? Or B12? B12 won't have any effect. But it's impossible to predict what effect biotin will have, if any. Perhaps no effect as it's such a short time. :)

I take igennus super b complex as advised previously on here. I’m so upset that I Started to retake forgetting about needing to be off for this test.

Well, don't jump to conclusions. Wait for the results and let's see what we can make of them. :)

It was Medichecks who recently confirmed to one of our members that they use Biotin in their assay and that Biotin or a B Complex containing it should be left off for 7 days.

Their reply is quoted in the first post in this thread

I would contact them, quoting this reply, and explain tht you inadvertently took your B Complex containing Biotin, they may possibly send you another kit free of charge.

Thank you so much seasidesusie I went into live chat and if needed they will send me a replacement test free, I’m not going to lie I’m in no rush to repeat this mornings shenanigans but maybe after a week of off vitamins I will be brave enough to repeat 😩

My results are back from my bloods would you mind having a check of them and letting me know what I need to do next please?

So it appears that there was an error with my bloods and they have to resend me another kit. I’ll stop my vitamins and retest in a week. Thank you all for your help. I gather that the error could be where it took so long for the blood to collect it’s spoiled. I shall follow all tips to do the next one hopefully with success and no fainting this time. So disappointed not to get my results though.
