Polymorphous lymphocytes and thyroid?

Hi everyone,

I had a suspicious lymph node biopsy done last week after a routine ultrasound and cat scan w/dye found some calcified lymph nodes in my neck and in my upper chest (I had thyroid cancer). I just received my report and I don't have cancer recurrence but I have (Polymorphous lymphocytes) Ive been battling for over 2 yrs psoriatic arthritis flare after losing my thyroid. Anyone know if Polymorphous lymphocytes could be a result of my thyroidectomy and does anyone else have this condition? Not a lot of info online unless Im missing it.

Are you taking calcium, or Vitamin D.

Hi BunnyJean,

No I stopped supplementing once warm weather arrived. Is this condition caused by calcium?

in reply to Batty1

Yes it can be it is best not to take extra calcium as this can cause calcified soft tissue. Test your Vitamin D it should be around 100 if you need to supplement with D3 and K2 these work together to send the calcium into your bones and teeth not your soft tissues.

Thanks Bunnyjean. I did have my calcium tested in January and the results even with supplementation was

(D,25 Hydroxy: 29.4 (29-100). I have always had low level calcium and now protein...I don't know anymore it gets exhausting dealing with crazy all the time.

Your Vitamin D is much too low this was the main cause of my calcified gallbladder

You need to supplement with D3 I usually take 5000 mcg every day in the winter.

It has taken me two years to reach 100.

I buy the softgels which are great take with Natto which is K2. You can buy both of these online. Take these with the fattest meal of the day. Then after a few months retest your vitamin D.

I have never been overweight but my downfall was cheese and no sun at all. Although my calcium level was fine, my Vitamin D was very low like yours. I never knew any of this until I joined this site in 2016.

I also had calcified groin soft tissue which still plays up when I walk too far.
