Hi, it’s a wee while since I posted, last time I did I was waiting to see Endo again after having a 6month trial of T3. I seemed to feel worse than ever on it even though my T3 level had been below ref range when I was started on it, wasn’t sure if I wasn’t on the right dose of either it or Levo. However, when I did see him he decided to let me go back to Levo alone again and see him again in about 3 or 4 months. He wanted T4 and TSH checked after 6 weeks, I got results back today, TSH is now at 0.45 they didn’t do T4 my GP says, no idea why. She thinks I’ll probably have to go from 150 to 125 if Levo, but said it’s Endo dealing with you just now, so I’ll let him decide. I’m feeling done, having diahorrea, was wondering if it’s too much Levo causing these symptoms? Any advice please. Thank you.

So how much Levothyroxine are you currently taking?
Your previous post on 75mcg Levothyroxine plus 2 x 5mcg T3 showed you were very likely under medicated

FT4 was right at bottom of range and FT3 low in range
Yes, that was right. I saw Endo on 15th of March, because I felt worse and my T3 not being much higher after 6 months on the T3 and Levo combo. He said if I felt no different on it after that time he thought I should go back to Levo alone again, I was on 125mcg before going onto the combo, he told me to take 150 this time. Thanks
Personally I think you were set up to fail T3 trial, by reducing Levo too much and not adding 3 x 5mcg T3
You could be right there, don’t think he really wanted to give me the T3 to start with, he went on about it being a toxic drug that could cause a lot of side effects, but because my T3 was below ref range he would give me a trial of it. He did actually raise the T3 to 15 a day, along with the 75mcg of Levo, but it didn’t make much difference.
