All you can do is try and help yourself feel more comfortable whilst the virus works it way out of your system.
I doubt you actual have "flu" in the true form of influenza, you may have a heavy cold.
You can soothe your cough with some over the counter cough medicine, check if any ingredients interact or affect Levo absorption in any way. I like Jakeman's Throat and Chest menthol sweets, they're quite soothing and no limit on how many you can take. Or a warm drink with blackcurrant juice, or honey and lemon, might help.
I always increase the amount of garlic liquid I supplement when I have a cold or other viral infection (I take garlic liquid every day to boost immune system).
I also take a 2 week course of Oil of Oregano capsules during this time - it's anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal, etc.
Take lots of Vit C - but be aware that too much can cause diarrhoea.
Other than that, you'll have to wait until it passes. With a cold, it's often said it takes 5 days from exposure to the virus to fully appear, 5 days with the actual cold symptoms, and 5 days to gradually improve and get back to normal. This has been so with the bad cold I've just had.
And of course, Google may throw up some other ideas, you could have a look.
You asked a similar question 3 months ago ("What are the most effective home remedies you can think of for a runny nose and flu.") so it might be worth reminding yourself of the suggestions you received then.
Dear syednc,
Firstly, you 'Poor Old Pop', yes Do try the Honey & Lemon- just be aware of Sugar Levels, if this is a Problem ( diabetes, for example). Another Good One is Olbas Oil, available at most Pharmacies- I prefer it to Vic- just put it around the pillow, at night. Olbas also makes a good 'Inhalant' add it to Warm Water and Breathe the Vapours. If you can 'Stand' this, it's actually Horrible, make up a 'Pint of Warm Water, containing just under a teaspoon of salt'- which is roughly Physiological Saline. Put some in your hand, then Sniff it up your nose and then 'Regurgitate' it out your mouth. Do this three, or four times, then Gently blow your nose....it Will feel 'Nasty/ Strange' but also Clear. If you do this, Saline Cleaning, before bed and also put, the Olbus Oil around about too, you will get Substantial Relief. Your Sinuses may feel, a little, uncomfortable for a while mind. I'm sure that you won't mind that, when you wake, sometime after, 6 am- needing the Loo!
It's always 'Rotten Luck', when a Cold strikes...or should that be 'Dotton Zuck', den a chode stikes' Don Top Dove Deverringding Delse Do Feel Dike Dit, snore Daze, on bend! People can 'Dake the Diss doo', dotton mot.
Do try the 'Saline Clearing' syednc it, really does, offer considerable relief for little effort. I hope that I, managed to, make you Smile too. Oh yes- DO try Vitamin C, get the soluble ones- just the 'Plain'- vitamin C, maybe Orange flavour. You DON'T need the tablets, that have, Bee Hive Extract, other Vitamins....Just the High Dose, vitamin C. The only 'Side Effect', they can give you The Runs- even better if you are a Bit Bunged Up anyway.
Once again, sorry you are suffering syednc
Take Care

Elderberry syrup.
Zinc lozenges with riboflavin, vitamin C and bee propolis; also, chicken or lamb broth; lemon and honey with ginger root, star anise and cinnamon infusion; risotto made using chicken broth, lemon zest and parsley with some turmeric when you cook the onion and garlic if you don't fancy a heavy meal; herb teas like dandelion, verbena, peppermint or nettle... my husband likes redbush tea when he is dehydrated from a cold; Epsom salt bath with some olbas oil added.
