Hi - I used to have this info somewhere but now don't know where 😳😬😂🤗:

where to have Thyroid related blood tests privately including the antibodies - I think you order a kit? Will this include Antibodies and all the other incl THS, T4, T3, Reverse T3?

B12, active B12 and Homocysteine tests - also a kit?

Vitamin D tests.

I use Medicheck, they have a range of different tests and on Thursdays usually gave a discount on selected tests. I found them fast and efficient.

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also extremely important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially if Thyroid antibodies are raised

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. Last Levothyroxine dose should be 24 hours prior to test, (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw). This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)

If/when also on T3, make sure to take last dose 8-12 hours prior to test

It's for my daughter - she is on no medication and doctors considered her TSH test previously as borderline - but we are trying to get to the bottom of her ill health.

So it's important to test thyroid, including antibodies and all four vitamins. Low vitamins are extremely common problem with hypothyroidism

Getting blood test as early as possible in morning and fasting gives highest TSH.
