WP NDT advice as still unwell after a month

Sorry to trouble you again about this, I feel so alone in my fight to get well that I just need a bit of guidance please. After advice on reducing to a quarter grain I still feel ill yesterday I forced myself to the shops to buy myself a dinner and realised half way there I forgot my purse, which is not like me at all. I felt I was a walking dream and it scared me a bit I do have cfs/fibro and struggle anyway but this felt different- is it The WP? My ibs is so bad I’m constipated too. I’ve zero energy and feel so low I could cry I don’t know if I need t3? I’m trying to read as much as I can it’s gett too much for me please can you tell me what to do. All my levels are fine just the vit D is 48. Thank you x

I'm sorry you haven't had any replies.

I'm afraid I can't help where NDT is concerned. I tried it 20 years ago when I consulted with Dr P, but it didn't do anything for me.

I know there is a protocol with NDT that is basically that you start with 1/4 of a grain, stay on it for 7 days to see how you react, if everything is OK then you add another 1/4 of a grain - so that's 1/2 a grain split into 2 doses. If all OK after 3 weeks on 1/2 a grain add another 1/2 a grain (total 1 grain) and stay at that dose for 3 weeks. You can continue adding 1/2 a grain every 3 weeks until you reach 2 grains, if necessary. After that you increase by 1/4 grain increments until you find your sweet spot.

Of course you need optimal nutrient levels, as always, for thyroid hormone to work. Also adrenals and thyroid work together to if not tested then a 24 hour saliva adrenal test would be useful, one that does cortisol plus DHEA.

You say your levels are fine, do you mean B12, folate and ferritin? Can you post them (along with reference ranges and units of measurement for B12).

Your vit D is very low, what are you doing about that?

Thank you so much for your reply I will find my results out and post them later for you. I’m mostly bed bound last 3 days feeling so very ill my stomach bloated and painful and nauseous legs stinging elbow and joint pain terrible. I wanted to continue as I paid so much for the NDT and now I’m almost broke. I take a vitobotics high vit d tablet a day, I Tried the spray but made me feel sick so gone back to tablets. I’m feeling so clumsy and forgetful 100 times more then usual I may have to stop the NDT and then what, I don’t know. Thank you for your help x

D3 needs fat to be absorbed. Are you taking the tablets with the fattiest meal of the day?

Are you taking D3's important cofactors - magnesium and Vit K2-MK7?

What strength Vit D tablet?

Really, D3 softgels are much better than tablets. Doctor's Best contain just 2 ingredients - no unnecessary fillers/excipients to react to just D3 and extra virgin olive oil to aid absorption, and they are cheap, the place I buy mine from they're £8.99 for 180 softgels, 5000iu strength, the bigger the pack the better the value.

My vit d are 1000 and the magnesium is 400 mg. I’m just posting my blood tests for you to look at please, thanks so much and will buy the soft gels from Amazon?

I would Google for price comparison on the D3 softgels. I buy mine from Dolphin Fitness who are cheaper for a lot of supplements but I haven't checked anyone else's prices lately as I bought mine a few months ago.
