I’m only taking half a grain I feel terrible fatigue and my legs are virbrating. I’m hoping this is something that will pass as begins to work as I know I can’t afford to try another brand and no way can I go back on levo as I thought I was dying when I took it. I’m ultra sensitive to food and drugs I really need some advice please thank you.

4 day on WP NDT not well advice please
It might help if you get vitamins etc optimal. I've just read that wasadvised on your earlier post. Your results look undermedicated but we have to start low to get our bodies used to the T3 in the NDT and we have to take things slowly. Patience is needed I'm afraid as nothing happens quickly in our Thyroid world as we can't try to cut corners as theat results in being set back further. How long were you on Levo and what dose were you on? Also what brand? That might give an indication as to why you found that a struggle and see if you can avoid that in future. Do you know if you were converting well when you were on Levo. Sadly taking anything with T3 in it meanswe can't tell that now but any results you had when taking Levo can help with knowing that. One thing that really helps conversion is getting your vits etc optimal so back again to that suggestion but you can ask your doctor to see if he will test them then postcthe resuktsxfir further advice as we are often low in one or more. Hopefully your body will settle with the NDT but take it slowly.
This group is run by Thyroid uk so have a look at their site for other information.
Thank you for your helpful relpy my vit D is 48 a tiny bit low and I have low calcium but everything else came back Ok my dr said. I will take it slow like you said and also try to do more research on thyroid Uk thanks again
Your vitamin D is very low. Thing the NDH value is 70+ but we Thyroid people need it to be higher, if you have antibodies I've seen 125 mentioned.
Little bit more advice-when doctors say results are fine it can mean they are in range and we need them to be optimal so get into the habit of asking for printouts, you may well be surprised! Also be aware that if we need to supplement then it's usually for life as levels can drop very quickly if we stop. You may, once settled on an optimal dose, be able to find a maintenance dose that keeps levels where you need them to be. I now take folate on alternate days instead of every day.
Surprisingly my GP asked me a few months back to have a cholesterol test. I'd never had one before! Then she asked what else did I need testing!!! So not to miss the opportunity I said Vit D, B12, Folate and ferritin as these help the Thyroid to work better and added in could we do this every year!
I have real problems when I change or increase/decrease any medication. I always have but find if I can live through the couple of yuck weeks it always settles back down. It's just bad luck if you are sensitive to medications but I know i need them so for me it's perseverance. I hope this gives you a little peace of mind and that things settle for you too. Good luck x
Thank you, your reply has given me peace of mind and I will persevere through I’m sure your right and my body is adjusting, I was panicking encase this was a bad reaction but I can see it’s going to be a slow process now. Thanks again x
