Does anyone know of someone who has been prescribed NDT on a NHS prescription if they have had an allergic reaction to T4 Levothyroxine?
Also my MP Mark Francois has just received this letter back from Basildon & Brentwood CCG - it looks promising I hope for patients in Essex if they need to be prescribed Liothyronine.

I can't imagine any GP or endo agreeing that it was possible to have an allergic reaction to a hormone that is naturally produced by the body. Any allergy is likely to be to excipients/fillers, not T4, so that would be a reason change brands or try liquid T4, not a reason to get NDT. The letter doesn't have anything to do with allergies or NDT, so should have been in a separate post.
Hi, I have read that some ppl have a severe reaction to Levothyroxine here. nhs.uk/medicines/levothyrox... Also read on Thyroid Groups that this does happen!
