It only took 10 weeks (to the day) to receive the letter from the endo after my referral to him. 10 weeks for feedback! Atrocious really.
I was referred to rule out Addisons, which he did at the time, and he has now ruled out Cushings.
The letter bangs on about my blood pressure and cholesterol and my weight. Despite all I told him about how exhausted I am and how physically depleted he simply says I must loose weight by reducing calories and increasing exercise. He makes numerous references to my weight and mentions statins twice.
The thyroid blood test he took was early afternoon, so irrelevant to me as I ensure mine are always early morning etc. It came back with a TSH of 2, but it would have been higher in the morning.
I feel now that I really am on my own. I am stuck in this nightmare of menopause hell with added thyroid problems with just my own gumption and the help of groups like this one and my private HRT specialist. It's a sad position to find yourself in.
Meanwhile, I have started to add in some T3 and really noticed a difference at first. As usual though, that's slipped back down again now. I am hopeful that it might actually be the difference I need though, given time.
I'd like to see these doctors walk a day in my shoes. I doubt they would be so keen to pick on my weight and lack of exercise so much then.
