I took it for about 4 years daily after coming off statins since I thought they might have been cause of my pain and tremors in legs/ hips...don’t think it created any problems with hypothyroid, diabetic or high bp meds. Though some of original symptoms continued and was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and now upped hypothyroid ‘meds’ by adding T3 to T4, consequently take ubiquinol more like fortnightly as have more than enough drugs and supplements to fit round hypo ‘meds’. Didn’t notice the drop made any difference, but would be interested to hear if anyone else has ...I still have lots more expensive CoQ10 tablets that I would take more frequently if proven helpful!

I don't believe CoQ10 has any effect on hypothyroidism but is recommended when you are taking statins. My husband was put on statins several years ago and within a short period of time, noticed his memory was slipping. I started doing my research and found that statins deplete the bodies COQ10. He started on the supplements and his memory returned to normal.

Unfortunately on statins for over 12 years and knew nothing about CoQ10 till I did research and stopped taking them, so any damage was done!

It's just a real shame that doctors don't educate their patients on the drawbacks to all these meds. Of course they are just following big pharma and the money. My husband's cholesterol never went down while taking statins. Only after we finally got the Dr. to increase his Naturethroid did it go into the normal range. He is now off statins. We both take COQ10 supplements because not only do statins reduce it but the aging process as well as stress does too.

Yes...getting older has a lot to answer for. Remember at 26 my doctor had said re extremely bad neck problems ‘ what do you expect - you are getting older’! Perhaps should take more CoQ10 as new year resolution (if I remember)

Good Luck...we all need a new years resolution of taking control of our health! I keep hearing that 50 is the new 40...I'm hoping 70 is the new 40..ok, maybe the new 50 haha!!
