The above document is just one of several sources I have now found at long last re iron overload. I like it because it is the simplest one I have revealed! This research was carried out by Dr EF, (Consultant Haemotologist) who works in Gartnavel General Hospital, 2nd Floor Buildings, 21 Shelley Road, G12 OYN alongside other colleagues. This man has become my "hero" at present but his work and research is really his "crusade" in more ways than one. (At this point I think my colleague (Radd) here will be familiar with his work and probably some of my other learned colleagues here also). I have read several of this gentleman's researches (hard going to one who has, like everyone here, NO MEDICAL KNOWLEDGE??!! The House of Commons, the Scottish Parliament, podcasts here and there, together with the work he speaks of being done in Ireland also in this regard. Enough said.

Now (down to the gritty) - Getting my GP to walk alongside me is a bit of a grind - I have not yet been given increased Ferritin results which I know now are totally significant in more ways than one - Practice Nurse and GP are focussing on ensuring that my level of thyroxine is OK!! I have almost dumped "Sertraline"!

I think I will order up some more blood tests again and also order up a DNA report which I can also get online. As all of you, dear friends, will know, IRON OVERLOAD affects not only the patient here but other family members. I am seventy-five so I must try to "get cracking"!

Sometimes you must "listen" to what your body tells you, e.g. relevant symptoms, etc. Some of you "learned ones - admins and/others" have seen these already so there is no new stuff to look at!

I am certain that "Dr EF" - you can his name at the bottom of the document mentioned above is the best guy for me and I would like to consult with him but (thus far) although he was mentioned as being found at The Edinburgh Clinic he is no longer there.

I can only moot that he has decided to focus entirely on his NHS work. He is sometimes called "Ted"!

"BRAIN FOG", etc. makes it difficult to speak and write OK and it seems to come and go too! Apologies if this does not read all that well!

Best wishes to everyone and "keep on camping"!

Victoria (I am now 99 years and six months old!)

God bless us all in every aspect of our work together here!

PS. Which is the best place to get any more results - last time it was "Thriva"!

Ah, no problem, I've got it: cso.scot.nhs.uk/wp-content/...

Dr Edward Fitzsimons is also an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor (School of Medicine, Dentistry & Nursing) at Glasgow University.

A HUNDRED SORRIES! JUST FOUND IT AGAIN! BRAIN FOG, LAPSES IN MEMORY MAISIE (LOVELY NAME) - i am victoria 100 again! - Without the ladies and gentlemen here I would be OFF THE PLANET! Was looking for a communication with my cousin in Perth, Australia - she is a retired lawyer - and now uses nothing but letters and telephone - she is seventy-eight so she deserves a rest! Take care now.
