New nature throid issues

Anyone else having issues with the new Nature Throid since 2018 shortage. I haven’t felt too different apart from itching, hair loss and higher tsh from 1.99 to 8 when I am taking the same amount 49 mcg. Thx

Afraid so. For a while I thought it might just be me not doing so well, or a single “not so good” batch but I’ve now given in and upped my dosage slightly.

Thx I was just reading the other posts! Humm funny I just upped my dose last night testing to see if I itch more today, not so far. Before when I upped the dose by about 23 mcg (splitting pill) I got bad all day headaches so went back to normal. Let’s see this time. Thx for your response.

Yes, my levels plummeted over the 6 months following the new batch being distributed. I've switched to Thai thiroyd and my levels are on their way back up 👍

Yes , I have had all symptoms return earlier this year, I’ve decided to go back to levothyroxine.

I have been very poorly with the new batch, weight gain, extra bad tinnitus....am in the process of upping my dose. Such a shame, I was doing well prior to changes. Why do they have to change things ChrisCh ?

Me too. I kept thinking it was just a virus or something, until I had a blood test and found T4 and T3 were below the bottom of the range. Heart rate went above 100 for the first time in my life. I also had balance issues and fell, chipping a bone in my elbow and damaging the cartilages of both knees. How I wish I could make the supplier see what they are doing!

Now on Thai ones, gradually climbing out of the dark pit.

Thyroid-S in my case. I think (brain where are you?) I just typed in Thyroid-S and Thai into Google...

They have removed all the thyroid hormones, before there were some in the tablets!

I feel ill nowadays since I had to stop taking them due to the shortage & have spent a fortune on other brands with no improvement. My TSH is now 3.3 & I'm not myself at all.

I feel like life is no fun anymore, just pain everywhere & doctors telling me I'm fine.

I’m confused if they removed all the thyroid hormones then what are we taking just fillers?

How do you know they all have been removed, if you dont mind me asking? I was hoping they contained about a half dose as I could double up.

I am another victim of these awful changes in nature throid I too had all old symptoms return and my FT4 went below normal range way to low I felt awful !!!

I’ve been switching back to levo and back because I thought it was my body reacting not the tablets but all this evidence definitely points to changes in formulation can I ask who told you they had removed the hormones ? On each bottle there is a leaflet with a full explanation of ingredients side effects etc they wouldn’t be allowed to produce them and state on the bottle for instance

( 1 grain 38mcg T4 and 9mcg T3 )

this is prescription medication surely they can only change fillers not the quantity of the hormones ?

I’m going to try another NDT as this one is making me ill again
