HELP..Advice needed. I'm at doctors tomorrow what should I be asking??

Hi I'm at the doctors again tomorrow for my thyroid results. I've been tested routinely (every 3 months) now for 2 years with tsh between 4.49-6.69

T4 between 10.4 -12.5.

Never received any medication but very symptomatic for hypothyroidism.

Paid privately for full thyroid results below.

Latest test results at the bottom.

Please can anyone offer advise.

Your TSH is high - well over-range - but your Frees are euthyroid. So, I understand your doctor's reluctance to treat you.

However, your vit B12 is very low, and low B12 can cause hypo-like symptoms. I think, with such a low B12, you ought to be tested for Pernicious Anemia, so do see your doctor about that. Low B12 is very serious.

Hi many thanks for your reply, what does it mean if its euthyroid l??? So never heard that term before. I do now receive b12 injections after being retested. I had a loading dose and now have injections every 12 weeks. I haven't seen any improvements in regards to the lethargy and the many other symptoms though???

Euthyroid just means without a thyroid problem - 'normal', if you wish, although that is a grossly over-worked term.

It could be that you don't get B12 injections often enough. And that you need even more B12. Try taking a daily B complex, with methylcobalamin (B12). That would keep your levels up between injections.
