Not sure you still need replies. It's always difficult to say how much NDT you should take when switching from T4 only drugs, but a rough estimate is that 1 grain of NDT = +/- 75 mcg of T4. That can be a good way to start on NDT but may not turn out to be your final optimal NDT dose as many things can affect how you feel on NDT and T4 respectively: the way it's absorb and used by the body, how the direct T3 in NDT affects you vs the inactive T4 in Levothyroxine that has to be converted to T3, your adrenal status, etc (it's often said that healthy adrenal glands are needed to deal with the T3 in NDT).
But, to get started on NDT, it could be helpful to assume that 1 grain of NDT is roughly the equivalent of 75 mcg of T4 (this is because T3 is said to be four times more potent than T4. 1 grain of NDT contains 8 or 9 mcg of T3 depending on brand = the equivalent of 8 or 9x4 = 32 or 36. Add to that the 35 or 38 mcg of T4 in a one grain pill (depending on brand): 32 + 35 or 36 + 38).
