Lancashire Support Group Meeting: Saturday 13th Oct

The Lancashire support group are meeting on Saturday 13th Oct 2.00-4.00pm in Chorley town centre.

The venue is very close to public transport links (rail and bus stations a five-minute walk) and there is free parking opposite.

We now have a core of regular attendees, but numbers in the group are steadily growing with a range of different experiences. It is an informal get together (essentially a chat and drink), a chance to share information on a range of thyroid-related issues and an empathetic space where you can open up to others experiencing similar. I always bring along a few resources for you to browse through as well.

New faces are always very welcome. I understand if you are not feeling well at the moment that coming along to a new group can feel quite daunting. If you would like to bring someone along with you that is absolutely fine.

Thanks for your response. We had a very good meeting thank you. There was seven of us and we have found a lovely venue that is quiet, central and comfortable with free tea and coffee!

It is always so useful to listen to how others are managing their thyroid issues and to be with those who just "get it"!

I put up a Thyroid UK poster up in the local library a number of months ago and people do get in touch with me as a result of that as well as through the forum.

Just off to the Thyroid UK homepage to renew my membership.....worth every penny!
