My daughters recent blood results

I had a thyroidectomy before I had my daughter, who is now 20.

Dr Peatfield always told me to watch out for her, so I've paid to have a private blood test.

Can somebody interpret the antibodies

TOTAL THYROXINE(T4) - 114. (nmol/L 59 - 154)

THYROID STIMULATING HORMONE - 2.40.( mIU/L 0.27 - 4.2)

FREE THYROXINE - 19.5 - (pmol/l 12.0 - 22.0)

FREE T3 - 4.6 - ( pmol/L 3.1 - 6.8)

Thyroglobulin Antibody

11.0 (IU/mL 0-115)

Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies 16.2 ( IU/mL 0 - 34)

Nothing obvious as problem

Both antibodies are within range

Does she have any symptoms?

It might be helpful to also test her vitamin D, folate, B12 and ferritin too next test

Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have money off offers.

All thyroid tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, GP will be unaware)
