I have just purchased 2 bottles of 150mcg of Thyro gold.
I currently take 100mcg of levothyroxine.
Looking at Paul Jones blog, am I correct in thinking that 150mcg of Thyro gold is the equivalent of 100mcg of levothyroxine? Tammy from Thyro gold emailled to suggest that I take half of my levothyroxine (50mcg) with 150mcg of Thyro gold for 2 weeks, then drop the levothyroxine and increase to 300mcg of Thyro gold, but wouldn't I be over medicated?

I don't think so, because NDT is different from levothyroxine. You can increase dose more slowly if you wish and prevent you worrying. You can start on a dose equivalent to your levo aand add a 1/4 tablet every two weeks. Always taking note of your symptoms being resolved and take temp/pulse before beginning because sometimes we feel quite hot but temp is around the same.
It was Tammy's husband who invented thyro-gold so that it didn't need a prescripton and he was also an Adviser to Thyroiduk before his death. He deliberately invented thyro-gold so that it did not need a prescription.
Products like Thyro-Gold may be very effective for those with low thyroid function, but whose thyroids can be easily restored to full function. For eg. those who've developed the condition fairly recently or who are on fairly low doses of Levo. However, for those taking higher does of Levo for a very long time, in all likelihood your thyroid has become reliant on absorbing synthetic thyroid hormone via Levo.
Unfortunately, many such products like Thyro-Gold don't provide enough active thyroid hormone that your body & mind needs on a daily basis. Unless products have levels of active thyroid hormone stated on the label (how much T4 or T3 is provided), chances are they have little. Then, unless your thyroid is still functioning, you are likely to become under-medicated, start to feel tired & generally lousy. Also you'll need to be monitored more frequently if you take the route of trying to wean yourself off Levo.
