Raise Nature Thyroid ?

Hi

My GP wanted to check bloods last week so I asked for thyroid tests whilst I was there...here are the latest results;

TSH 0.01 ..Range 0.35 to 5.00 mu/L

Free T4 10.3...Range 9.00 to 22.00

Free T3 3.7...Range 2.60 to 5.70

3 months ago they were;

TSH 0.01 ..Range 0.35 to 5.00 mu/L

Free T4 11.1...Range 9.00 to 22.00

Free T3 4.1...Range 2.60 to 5.70

The T3 and T4 results have gone down slightly so I guess I will need to adjust dose from Nature Thyroid from 2.5 grains (which I split in the morning) . Do I go up by a quarter or half a grain please?

Any advice appreciated.

Always advisable to up a quarter at a time I’m sure admin will assist with timings but I’m sure it’s 2 weeks before you should consider upping again so you can see how you’re adjusting

FT4 is expected to go down a little but it's your FT3 result that is important and needs to be high in its range but never over. How long after taking your medication did you have your bloods done?

Hi Silverfox

Thanks...I took thyroid meds at 6am ish and then again about 11.30 am one day and had blood test taken the nxt morning at about 9 am. I then took my thyroid meds after my blood test.
