I need help understanding my thyroid blood results

I had a partial thyroidectomy in 1977 and the remaining thyroid was removed in 2014. Soon after my weight increased significantly and I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I had all the symptoms and was put on 12.5 cytomel along with my regular 100 Eutirox. I felt better, brain fog was better and I lost38 lbs with no effort. Bloods became normal and I was taken off cytomel and Eutirox reduced to 75. 6 months later weight back up and exhausted so I was placed back on 12.5 cytomel.. I am feeling relatively ok but weight is not coming off. My last results are: TSH 0.18. Thyroxine-Free 14.7 and total T3 is 11.1. Doctor says those are perfect and no need to adjust meds. Why isn't the weight coming off and also by afternoon I am quite tired and lethargic

We need the ranges on these results

All thyroid tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. When on Levothyroxine, don't take in the 24 hours prior to test, delay and take straight after. If on T3 take last dose 12 hours prior to test.

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, GP will be unaware)

Is this how you did the test?

You also need vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 tested

These are often low when on replacement thyroid hormones and may need supplementing to improve. But always test first

My last dose of both Eutirox and T3 was 24 hours before being tested. Range for TSH 0.32-5.00 . Thyroxine free 10.7 - 17.1 and total T3 is 1.3- 2.6. I am taking Neurobion which is combination of b1 (100mg), b6 (200mg) and b12 (200mcg). D3-2000ui daily. Magnesium 200mg twice daily

The T3 test is total T3. Your total T3 is much higher than top of range

You really need FreeT3 tested

Sorry I made an error. My total T3 is 1.45.
