Went to see GP and he blanked me when I asked for referral to get combo. After he’d said last time that he didn’t think I was converting!
So starting out on my own now.
Should I reduce my levo from 125mcg to 100 & add T3 at 1/4 tablet (6.25mcg) or keep my levo at 125? Or another combination? How long shall I take small dose before increase please.
Any help appreciated at the moment I’m really suffering with swollen neck, glands ear & neck pain. Pains in shoulder, arms and toes. And I sound like a croaking donkey!
Thanks

Those results show an adequate conversion rate of 4:1 and because FT4 is only slightly over half way through range then it might be better to raise FT4, which would raise FT3 as well, and ensure nutrient levels are all optimal before adding T3.
my last results for B12 and Folate were in January and I've been taking supplements to try and raise these levels.
I'm waiting for a cortisol test result to come through and then will test for vits etc next month.
My Ft4 has dropped from 18.3 to 17.6 on the same dose of levo, so I'm a little puzzled by that (test done exactly same time/no meds etc) but the GP wasn't interested and never questioned it. I've not been 'well' for a number of years and feel like I'm constantly battling the GP to listen. he would not put up the T4 either as he's scared I'll go Hyper.
If my T4 is converting then perhaps I should leave the dose at 125mcg and add the T3?
okay thanks. I'll wait until I've tested vitamins/minerals. I think my cortisol tests will be interesting to say the least. ill post for help with that when I have results - hopefully tomorrow.
