saniagi, There is some source information for obtaining T3 with prescription on the main Thyroid UK website here thyroiduk.org/tuk/treatment...
no this was a private endo appointment, my GP did say in his referral letter to the endo that a XR for T3 may be required. What I'm wondering, is if my GP recognises there is a possible conversion T4 to T3 problem which has been confirmed by the endo, will he write the xr. I am unable to take levothyroxine as it makes me very unwell and feel toxic. Low dose T4 and T3 is my only hope of having any sort of therapeutic treatment.
Thank you I will have a look.
You should have it free I have nit paid for prescription for over 30 years
Thank you for your reply, yes I will ask for the T3 on script. I have a letter from the Endo I seen privately saying this is what he wants me on as I'm not converting T4 to T3. I GP refuses to follow this advice, I need to know where to go with this; I must say that people on this site are very helpful and supportive.
