TG ab - question about the test

I have just been for a repeat blood test - I went armed with the list of blood tests suggested to me here

TSH

T4

T3

Vit D

Folate

Ferritin

Antibodies TPOab

Antibodies TG ab

The nurse took blood for them all but was confused over TGab as she said her computer was saying it was for Caeliac ?

Is this the right blood test or has she picked the wrong one?

Thank you

TG Ab = thyroglobulin antibodies - for thyroid. It's not normally done at GP level, usually in secondary care (endo).

For coeliac the test is IgA Tissue transglutaminase antibody which is shorted to "tTG" so I expect that's what she saw.

Thank you for the reply. Sounds like it was. I showed her the list and she ticked that box but also wrote it by hand on the form so perhaps the lab will interpret it. Perhaps I will just have to see what comes back with the results and will come her to ask for advice on the results.
