Heartbeat in my ears
Yes, I get it - known as pulsatile tinnitus. I don't know of a cure or a treatment.
Lovely, something else to add to the long list! Thank you for telling me what it is though.
I agree with you. I have normal tinnitus too. Actually I find it quite reassuring after a wobbly day to hear my heart beating away soundly.

I think you are right!
As others have said, it's pulsatile tinnitus. I have had it for years - though I'm not technically hypo according to the medics but have all the symptoms.
It might be worth seeing your GP who may refer you to audiology. I was given hearing aids to sharpen my hearing which then dampened down the tinnitus. It sounds counter intuitive, but does seem to work.
I had it when I was first poorly with hashis but since getting my FT3 optimal they’ve disappeared
That's an interesting theory....it now looks as if my thyroid has been out of whack "forever". Diagnosed underactive nearly 30 yrs ago (now 72) but never totally well. Just found out I have a faulty Dio2 gene, been adding T3 for 4 months
Had occasional ringing in my left ear for a long time, never greatly bothersome but, more frequently now, it also feels blocked with impaired hearing. The glands below my ear feel swollen and tender....GP says they are fine!!
I altered my T4/T3 dose recently after a blood test and wondered if I had got it wrong.....still titrating....maybe overmedicated....so altered dose again v slightly.
Sounds like yet another hypo hurdle to stumble over!
