Sorry - have not had the time to read previous posts of yours. How are your B12 levels ? When 1000 people were contacted from the Pernicious Anaemia Society about the most troubling symptom - the reply was almost 100% - Tinnitus :-)

My b12 is 885 and the optimal limit is around 775.it seams more than fine !?

OK that looks good on the surface. However the bloodresult contains both bound and unbound B12 - and only 20% of your result can reach the cells where it is needed. You cannot overdose on B12 - so why not try some ! Testing Homucysteine and MMA is useful - if high in range can indicate low levels of B12 in the cells ....

How can I test them and how much does it cost? Does family doctors do it or I need to do it privately?

Sorry - I live in Crete so I am not up to speed with the UK NHS. Ask your GP first - otherwise check out the Private Testing available on the main website of Thyroid UK - under the heading - ABOUT TESTING

I know that feeling very well, Ari3. My doctor says there's nothing that can be done, but I haven't checked out any other avenues. I always have a radio or TV on. TV on during the day and I listen to talk radio all night. That kind of takes my mind off the buzzing, ringing, hissing. It's crazy making for sure! Sorry you're having the same problem.

I have like kind of hissing sound it’s getting louder in the evening specially when it is silent drives me mad .Are we going to live with it all life’s now? Have u seen ear throat and nouse speciallist? Thank you for ur kind reply I really appreciate .Could it be adrenals as dr p told me that hissing is due to adrenal insufficiency

I'm fine as far as levels of everything. I think tinnitus can be caused by listening to loud music (which I did for years). I really don't think there's anything that can be done about it, unfortuantely. I just live with it and make sure I have music/TV, radio on all the time.
