Unfortunately taking T3 ontop of levothyroxin has certainly not reduced my high Bp ( take amlodopine) when introducing it in small amounts till up to 25 mcg T3. Also had periods when pulse/ heart rate went up over 100 mark but that has calmed down.
Total T3 isn’t the most useful of T3 tests - Free T3 would be much better as it’s easier to tell whether you’re optimally medicated or not. So it’s tricky to say whether you need an increase cos given your rushing to the loo problems it may be you need a decrease.... You may have to try increasing and see.
It was only when my other half was optimally dosed on liothyronine that both her heart rate and blood pressure came down to normal - so if your BP comes down on additional T3 rather than goes up, that can also be a sign that an increase is warranted. Where in the world are you?
Given that your FT4 is below range, and your FT3 last time tested was just a tad under mid-range, why don't you just increase your NDT rather than taking added T3?
Found out I hv hematomocrosis.....i understand iron can block thyroid meds.
Have had blood taken on a regular basis to lower ferritin to 30..now holding steady with modified drinking and diet..
I Am now taking 55mg T3 and NDT 60 mg...running to the loo no longer an issue.
Feeling pretty good...
Hv 2 very large nodules and multiple small ones, hv appt with endo Oct 11th...I don't want her to change anything.....nodules need to be evaluated!!!!! Over 4 cm
Sorry, have you changed your name? I thought this was oldebyre's thread.

Pretty sure that only applies to iron supplements, when they come into contact with thyroid hormone in the gut. But, I don't know anything about hematomocrosis.
Your FT3 - the most important number - is only 31.67% through the range, and your FT4 is below-range. So, on the face of it, you look to be under-medicate. Which is amazing, given the dose you're taking. But, if you're feeling good, that's what counts.
However, your B12 is a bit low, and that should be rectified. Was no folate tested?
