Levo beforehand? - Non-Thyroid Specific Blood Test

Hi all,

I've recently received a Thriva blood test in the post as my doctor is not able/willing to undertake a Vitamin D test. The test will test for ferritin, D, B12, folate, cholesterol, glucose etc. I'm just wondering if I will need to refrain from taking Levo before the test? Any advice would be much appreciated.

If you are taking any supplements that contain biotin in (e.g. Vitamin B complex) you should stop this 3-5 days before as biotin can falsely affect test results

If taking iron supplements, stop a week before

Vitamin D stop day before

Don't think when in day you take the test or your Levothyroxine will make any difference.
