My TSH was 4.65

T4 10

In March 18 TSH 3.77

Free T4 16

Free t3 4.7

I was put on 50 levothyroxine

I had another blood test on 8 th June and they only tested my TSH ( v annoyed as I asked for the 6 tests and the TSH was 1.86

I had only been on the levothyroxine 7 weeks

My question is does this happen?

Can the test be over the range for 18 maths and then dramatically drop like this?

In March my testosterone was tested and came back at <0.009 neologism/L

(.10-1.42 nail/L

Is there something else going on please can u help

Well 50mcg is only the standard starter dose. You are now ready for next dose increase.

Dose is increased slowly in 25mcg steps, retesting after 6-8 weeks each time. Dose increases until TSH is around one and FT4 towards top of range and FT3 at least half way in range

Majority of patients eventually need between 100mcg and 200mcg of Levothyroxine. But it has to be increased slowly at a pace the body can deal with

Highly likely to have low vitamin levels. Have you had vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 tested?

Or had both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested to see if cause of hypothyroidism is due to autoimmune thyroid disease also called Hashimoto's

My folate, ferritin, vt d2+d3 have gone down but my calcium and inorganic phosphate, potassium and urea have gone up and my creatinine is high off the range at 87

They didn’t test any of my other thyroid levels

I would love to find out if I have Hashimoto but how do I find out?

Medichecks have offers today you can get full thyroid check + antibodies and iron, ferritin, folate, B12 and I think Vit D

If you took your levo before the blood test then your tsh will be low. You should leave 24 hours from last dose until bloods the next day as early as possible 9am latest. Jo xx

Clearly low Ft3 here

Are you currently taking any levothyroxine?
