L-Glutamine

Has anyone ever taken the supplement or had any issues with it? I had a horrible flareup of my exfoliative keratolysis that is usually due to ingesting gluten. I am gluten-free and couldn’t figure out why the huge flare up. Then I remembered starting the supplement at the same time! I went into an auto immune tailspin, God knows what my Hashimoto’s antibodies are doing 😕

Any experience with this supplement?

i am taking it, in fairly large amounts and no issues. ibuy a pure version from amazon.

I’m a coeliac and have used L-glutamine in large doses to help heal gastritis successfully.

I had no issues with it.

I didn't get on with it at all. Can't remember what it did to me, but I remember vowing never to take it again! It's like just about everything else, suits some people, but not others. We just have to try it and see.

I can’t help with your reaction to Glutamine, but I have been taking it for years, before I became hypo, and I find it helps with my digestion issues.

As greygoose said, it’s different for everyone.

I take some (c. 5g) L'glutamine for IBS every morning (in water) as a powder from bulkpowders.co.uk. It has helped. You need to be sure that you are getting enough B12 as that affects how well you utliize glutamine. Some people are sensitive to it, esp if they start on too much.
