I've read that this is good for healing the gut. Is it something that can be used any time, or only after infections/SIBO/yeast infections have been addressed? Thank you.

L-glutamine?
Josiesmum,
I would like to try glutamine as members have had such good results enhancing gut health and so the immune system.
However, I have had neurological problems and there are RARE cases where supplementing glutamine may be contraindicated.
I have read it is better to use the powder and start slowly.
Other members no doubt will give you their good experiences about glutamine.

Good to be reminded to be aware of such contraindications. Thanks.

I take ACV but find two tablespoons too strong and that 2 or 3 teaspoons in water or juice does the trick for me.
I also take a Betaine/pepsin tablet if 'out and about'.
I used this daily for quite a while.I used capsules from "Just Vitamins"I used them for anxiety & energy. Then I read an article on Dr Mercola's site & it put me off.Don't think I can say I noticed they helped at all
PS I now use betaine hydrochoride with pepsin when eating a high protein meal, otherwise just the betaine hydrochoride, which I buy as T.M.G from "Bulk Powders"via Ebay.I only dose once a day.
I started doing this after reading about low stomach acid in hypothyroid disease.
I also take probiotic capsules
Hi Naomi
Thanks for that. Just read the article on Mercola, quite scary:
