Your TSH may have been low and your FT4 high, but if your doctor didn't test your FT3, then he has no idea if you were over-medicated or not. Could be that you weren't converting the T4 very well, and reducing the levo would also reduce your FT3, and has probably made you more hypo.
Never accept a dose reduction without an FT3 test being done.
Possibly you may be right but I’ve oy just reduced it about a week ago And the throat has been sore for about a month. It’s really annoying me. It could unrelated of course but I can’t help but worry about it. I think I’ll go and see the GP.
I had a sore throat constantly for years and years and then started talking selenium and it was fine within a couple of days 🙂 I also found stress made it worse x
Thanks abagail. I eat Brasil nuts daily so think my selinium should be ok but I may take a supplement as you suggest. I have been stressed and run down so both could be factors
