It is much cheaper to buy T3 online from Lloyds Pharmacy than to buy it from an NHS hospital.

Buying T3 in UK
Please let us know a bit more.
What product do you get dispensed?
What was the NHS hosptial price versus Lloyds' price?
Morningside Liothyronine 20mcg was £153.44 for 28 tablets from Lloyd’s online. Mercury Pharma 20mcg was £288 ( including VAT) for 28 tablets from my local NHS pharmacy. NHS passes on the VAT because unlike commercial pharmacies they cannot reclaim it.
VAT and NHS is a very difficult area. When the NHS set up a project they do not always know whether or not they will have to pay VAT. Trouble is, they have to request funding of the project to include whatever VAT may be payable.
Two projects could run and be finished, on time and, superficially, on budget. For one they might suddenly find they need an extra 20% (or whatever the rate depending on usual VAT factors) so it costs considerably more than expected. For the other, they could have 16% of the cost sloshing around!
This has all sorts of ripple effects. Like spending the 16% on very questionable purchases. And projects not being approved - though they might have been had the cost been 16% lower. Or not being able to afford equipment to make the new facility work properly.
Can you buy it in the UK ? Is this NDT /armour you are talking about ? Thanks just curious

Private prescription for T3 usually cheapest online from Germany
I could do with a secure route to purchase it from Germany. Nearly got caught in a scam recently.
DotLeeds, Have a look at this recent thread: healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...
Where can I buy T3 safely as my doctor will not prescribe it and I am overweight and eat healthy and walk the dog twice a day for 40 minutes each, but still can’t lose the weight. Thanks

Please start a new thread to ask your question.
Because you are a new member, and there is no informationin your profile, please also give as much information as possible about your thyroid journey, are you under an endo or just GP, what dose of Levo you are on, if it has been changed at all, your latest results for
TSH
FT4
FT3
Thyroid antibodies
Vit D
B12
Folate
Ferritin
All these tests are important to know whether or not you will benefit from T3. Many people ask about T3 but it's not T3 they actually need, we find they are either not optimally medicated on Levo or their nutrient levels are too low or deficient so that thyroid hormone can't work.
Are there any safe sites to buy rather than private prescription?
