I have a friend going out to Thailand soon and was wondering if you need a prescription to buy T3 in the pharmacy there? Any information would be helpful.

Stig

I've not heard of T3 being available in Thailand, only NDT.

Thank you SeasideSusie . Would you have any info as to the name and price of the NDT?

Thyroid-S, Thiroyd and TR Man. Sorry, I don't know prices, but they are usually sold in bottles of 1000 pills. I think you'll find the prices are amazingly low though.

Find pictures of the three products, print them out, and take them with you to show to pharmacists.

Stig, HumanBean has given the names of the Thai brands. I know that bought online 500 tablets can be around £40 upwards and 1000 tablets around £55 upwards depending on where purchased.

stig5882,

Unless your friend is a member of your household, it would technically be illegal for them to bring them into the country for you. The exemption is strictly for members of the same household.

From a UK perspective, it would be legal for them to post from abroad to you. I have no idea whatsoever of the legality of that in any country at all.

I always feel like the person putting the damper on a possibly good idea. :-(

Also remember that lying to customs is quite possibly the worst offence of the lot - but there is a difference between lying and saying things to put it all into the best possible light short of that. In case an explanation is required...

Not at all helvella , better to be careful and I will of course pass on this information to my friend. :)

I have gone online to Thailand and searched but nothing came up. I also emailed them for you OK?

Awe thank you so very much Bunnyjean that's so kind of you. Xx

I have had a reply back from Thailand they have replied no to stocking it. The best thing would be to visit a Pharmacy near a large hospital they would probably keep it T3 in stock.

A large city such as Bancock wrong spelling sorry.

Thanks again for all your help and I will continue to be hopeful as my friend is going to Bangkok at some point but if he can't get it I will ask him to get some Thyroid S and try that. Thank you again for all your help . XX

Your most welcome and good luck
