Hi I have Graves’ disease diagnosed April 2011. My TSH has been swinging from high to

Low over the last year. Have high TPO antibodies also high thyroglobulin antibodies.

Could I possibly have Hashimotos also. Asked consultant and he just laughed at me,

As if I was being ridiculous (very rude) also have uti infection which can’t seem to get rid of despite 3 lots of antibiotics.

Any replies much appreciated

Thank you

So, how did they diagnose your Grave's? Did they test TSI or TRAB? If your TPO and Tg antibodies are high, you do have Hashi's. Unfortunately, a lot of doctors - including endos - don't seem to know the difference. And he probably laughed at you because he didn't have an answer to your question! He was probably thinking, 'oh god! Have I made that same mistake AGAIN???' It wouldn't in the least surprise me!
